I’m Romy Weiss, a Career Transition & Leadership Development Certified Professional Coach and serve as the CEO of NextSteps Coaching & Consulting LLC. I’m also the mom of three teenagers and live in Maine with my family.
I built my career in the professional space, until the day I was asked the question that would change my life. “What would you do if you won the mega-million dollar lottery. Would you go to work on Monday?” When I answered with an enthusiastic “No!” It set me out on a path of self-exploration and discovery at the age of 43.
I began my deep dive into the possibility of finding true fulfillment at work and the balance I was striving for with my family. During my own career transitions journey, I found professional coaching. Having a love for professional development I participated in the IFC’s accredited Coaches Training Institute's professional training program and certification.
I have now gone on to support men and women on their career transitions journey. I will meet you where ever you are and navigate you to your desired career success. My specialty is enabling, guiding and empowering adults who are at a career crossroads hoping to advance, change, return to and reinvent their careers thereby finding work/home balance. This is something I consider myself an expert in as I runs my own business through NextSteps Coaching and Consulting, LLC, while also finding balance in running a busy household. I teach adults how to build confidence and effectively communicate your story while leaning into your value. I help you clarify your career goals, build your career confidence, advance your career (climb that corporate ladder, break glass ceilings and get promotions) and land dream jobs.
Through my own career transition, I truly found my calling. Today, if I was asked what would I do if I won the lottery, I would still continue to run NextSteps Coaching and Consulting and my mission is to help others answer that same question with a resounding YES!

Due to Covid19, Should I Even Bother with a Job Search? Who is Hiring Anyway?
- Covid19 has certainly affected the job market. However, this is not the time to stop your job search efforts. This is exactly the time to prepare your strategy and get everything ready.

Because when companies start the hiring process again the applicant pool will be more crowded which means YOU will need to be stand out even more and you will need to be ready to apply/submit your application immediately. (Most applicants miss out on the opportunity due to waiting to long to apply and that can be a matter of days). I’ve been unsuccessful with the job search in the past, how is this different?
